Lost for 7 Years, Home at Last! Plus, Early Holiday Deals

Imagine losing your dog, moving to another city, and then getting a phone call seven years later saying he's been found!

That's exactly what happened to Corduroy's family. The Cocker Spaniel disappeared in Los Angeles back in 2019, just as his family was preparing to move to San Diego. Last month, he unexpectedly turned up at a Los Angeles animal shelter, where staff scanned his microchip and tracked down his family.

Nobody knows where Corduroy spent those seven years or what adventures (or misadventures) he had along the way. But thanks to that tiny chip, he finally made it home to his family, including the little girl who'd been his best friend. Talk about a long-overdue reunion!

Try this: Take a minute today to make sure your pet's microchip information is up to date, especially if you've moved or changed phone numbers. And for an extra layer of protection, consider a GPS pet tracker. Unlike microchips, which only help identify a pet once someone finds them, GPS trackers can help you locate a missing pet while they're still on the move. Neither replaces the other, so having both gives you two ways to help bring your pet home.

And here's a bonus for those of us who've handed litter box duty over to a machine: Fresh Step says Fleur de Purr works with automatic litter boxes, too! Speaking of which, if you've been thinking about upgrading to a self-cleaning box, we've got a deal worth checking out below.
